Certificate ceremony

The Learning Kat School in Claremont, which caters for teens and adults with complex special needs, held a ceremony last Friday at a coffee shop where ward councillor Katherine Christie presented certificates to the students.

Joel Slessenger, pictured with his parents, Mark and Kirsty, and Kath Kenyon, right, received a certificate for a short course he did in animal care.

Laiqa Hawa received certificates for courses she did in science, animal care, gardening and independent living.
