With Covid restrictions relaxed and as events creep back onto the calendar, among the events making a comeback is the Pick n Pay Wine and Food Festival.
It takes place at Kenilworth Racecourse over the long weekend of Saturday April 30 and Sunday May 1.
More than 40 estates from wine-producing regions across SA will be represented at the event, and festival-goers can expect an abundance of choices, all of which will be available for purchase at the same prices you’d pay at the cellar door.
A number of exclusive wines will be on offer as well as a wide selection of eats at the Pick n Pay Gourmet Food Lane, a burger truck and coffee trailer.
At the Pick n Pay Tasting Room, expert wine makers and professional chefs will present a culinary journey featuring exquisite wines superbly paired with melt-in-your-mouth canapes. The 30-minute sessions are hugely popular and sell out fast, so pre-booking is essential.
On Saturday the festival runs from noon until 7pm, and on Sunday, from noon until 6pm. General access tickets, at R200 a person a day; and tasting room tickets, at R260 are available from Webtickets.
Southern Suburbs Tatler is giving away five pairs of tickets to the festival. To enter, send an email to entertain.ccn@inl.co.za with your name, surname and contact number in the body of the email and “Pick n Pay Wine and Food Festival giveaway” in the subject line. Entries close at midnight on Sunday April 24.
