We’ve seen this trend exploding on tiktok with tiktokers referencing it as Jane Birkin-ifying their bags. The luxury fashion brand Hermes has been selling accessories for their bags for the longest time with scarves specifically for the handle of your Birkin and the famous padlock. This trend has become so popular that some have created categories to showcase the type of charms that are considered “rich” and “basic” and offering advice on how to correctly accessorize your bags.

These bags were first spotted on the runways from designer brands Coach, Fendi and Miu Miu to name a few. Models strutted down the runways carrying these accessorized handbags.
