New signage is going up on The Liesbeeck River Trail to encourage more people to explore it. Ward councillor Ian Iverson says some 15 new signs will be put up, from Esme Road, Newlands to the Fountain Place turn-off in Rondebosch.

“The original signs were first erected more than 30 years old, some of them have disappeared, been vandalised or just looked rundown,” he said.
