Reverend Guy Axelson
Guy Axelson has gone full circle at Christ Church Kenilworth, from being a former parishioner in his teens to the church’s new priest.
Reverend Axelson, 37, from Kenilworth, joined the Anglican church at the beginning of July after spending 13 years in the UK, where he studied theology at Oxford University and served as a curate for five years at St Michael’s Church in London.
“I saw the vacancy to apply for the job, and now that I am here, I love it. Christ Church is home to me,” he says.
He brings his wife, Mary-Jane Axelson, and the couple’s four children.
Reverend Axelson took over from Reverend Rob Taylor who was the church’s priest for seven years.
