A man was killed and another wounded in a weekend shooting in Woodstock.
Police are investigating a shooting in Woodstock on Saturday that left one man dead and another wounded.
Officers responding to reports of shots fired at the Stalle, in Bromwell Street, at 11am, found two men, each with a gunshot wound to the head, said Woodstock police spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Alroy van der Berg.
One of the men, aged 46, was already dead. The other, aged 61, was taken to Groote Schuur Hospital.
“The circumstances around the shooting are unknown and under investigation. The unidentified gunman is still at large” said Lieutenant Colonel Van der Berg.

• Following a tip-off, police arrested a 33-year-old man in Woodstock’s Mascani squatter camp on Tuesday for the illegal possession of a 9mm pistol and ammunition.
The man is suspected of involvement in several shootings in the area, according to Lieutenant Colonel Van der Berg.
