Young witches, wizards and their families are invited to dress up for the College of Magic’s Children’s Magic Festival, which is on during the July school holidays.
The College of Magic’s Children’s Magic Festival is back, promising four days of spellbinding entertainment.
Young witches, wizards and their families are invited to dress up for the “witches, wizards and magical creatures” theme as they attend wizarding school, from Wednesday July 13 to Saturday July 16.
The festival is one of the College of Magic’s major fund-raising events and has been running since 1994.
Attractions include a magic show performed by the college’s young entertainers; a self-guided tour through the college’s century-old mansion, performances by jugglers, clowns and puppeteers; and a chance to learn magic tricks.
There will be socially distanced seating for audiences.
The College of Magic is a non-profit organisation that has been teaching the theatrical performing art of magic, as well as its allied arts and life-skills, to children for more than 40 years.
“We are so excited to welcome all the young witches, wizards and magical creatures back to the festival for a wonderful experience that they will cherish,” said Chad Findlay, the College of Magic’s creative director.
Tickets are available through Quicket for R120. The festival will be held at the College of Magic, 215 Imam Haron Road, in Claremont, with the 75-minute show programme running at 10am, 11am, noon and 2pm, with additional performances at 3pm on Friday and Saturday.
