The South African Guide-Dogs Association is inviting the public to its open day at the Belvedere Scouts Hall, 124 Belvedere Road, Claremont, on Saturday December 3, from 9am to 1pm.

Guide-dogs fund-raising manager Jackie Quail says the public will learn about important role guide and service dogs play in the lives of their owners.

There will be a trainer blindfold demonstration with the dogs at 10am as well as a training demonstration with the dogs and puppies at 11am.

Guide-dogs merchandise, second-hand books, raffle tickets, treats and refreshments will be on sale.

Entry is R30. All proceeds will go towards the training of the dogs.
