Scouts visit Huis Nuweland

Lizahn Bowers|Published

The First Claremont Meerkat Scouts visited Huis Nuweland in Newlands last month to bring good cheer to its residents. They sang carols and handed out home-made Christmas ornaments to each resident. The residents thoroughly enjoyed the singing – and joined in with all the songs. Meerkats is a programme for children aged five to six to learn outdoor skills, team work and how to “Stand Tall” (their motto). To join contact Judith Bishop on meerkats@1stclaremont.org.za
