Books come alive

Cannons Creek Independent Primary School ran several activities in the week leading up to World Book Day on April 23. Every day, the bell was rung at various times and pupils had to drop everything and read. They also teamed up with older or younger buddies to read together. There was a “readathon”, a book quiz and a collection drive for books that will be given to the needy. The week culminated in a parade with the pupils dressed up as book characters. Here are pupils dressed as Harry Potter.
