Anelisa Mangcu, 30, of Rondebosch, is the curator of An Endless Night, a contemporary art exhibition, on at the Mount Nelson Hotel.
The exhibition is part of the Investec Cape Town Art Fair and will run until Monday August 28. It includes works by Mary Sibande, Trevor Stuurman, Githan Coopoo, Mongezi Gum and Kimathi Mafafo.
“Every artist that is part of An Endless Night is one that I have either worked with for many years or one that I have always wanted to showcase,” said Ms Mangcu, who studied curatorship at the Centre for Curating the Archive at the Michaelis School of Fine Art in collaboration with Iziko South African Museum and started her own curatorial and art advisory services company in 2020.
“I am grateful for the inspiring and genuine exchanges between those I work with, and perhaps that is the magic in the shows I curate,” she said.
