Salt River High Grade 11 pupils Michaela Simons, right, and Lilitha Dondolo participated in the annual Metro Central District Grade 11 Slam Poetry Competition, which was held at Groote Schuur High School on Saturday August 17. Michaela finished as runner-up with a silver prize for best prepared poem while Lilitha received a certificate for participation.
