Llandudno Primary School have kicked off their weekly Sandwich Day by donating 16 bags filled with sandwiches to Sentinel Primary School on Wednesday January 22.
The pupils are tasked with making sandwiches which are donated to various schools within Hout Bay weekly, alternating between grades, according to spokesperson, Marzaane Scheepers.
“A specific grade makes sandwiches in a given week on a Wednesday, and that is delivered to another school in Hout Bay for lunch on that day. It's an initiative for the kids at LPS to learn how to give back to the community and support fellow schools. This week the Grade 7 class managed to fill 16 sandwich bags with sandwiches filled with items like cheese, peanut butter and jam and tuna for Sentinel Primary.”
