Juvie Boy Entertainers take the crown again in section 2 of minstrel competition
The final prizes were handed out at the 2025 Minstrel Competition on Saturday February 1 in front of a sold out crowd at Athlone Stadium.
Juvie Boy Entertainers retained their Carnival Kings crown, fending off the likes of Cape Town Hawkers, Ashwin Willemse Orient, Original Hanover D6 Minstrels and many more.
Section 2 teams battled it out in the Juvenile Combine Chorus, Coon Song, Best Band and much anticipated Group Song items - before the four week event came to a close with a trophy ceremony.
Juvie Boys Entertainers walked away with the coveted Group Song prize, proving their dominance in this category. They secured most of the prize trophies in the singing categories, including the famous Afrikaans Moppie title.
They also secured the Best Band trophy, leading the way with saxophonist, Don Vino, blowing the Juvies to victory.
