Vista Nova primary school pupils were recognised for their performances at the South African Sports Association for the Physically Disabled (SASAPD) national athletic championships held at the beginning of April in Gqeberha.
The Western Province Sports Association for the Physically Disabled (WPSAPD) held an awards event at Vista Nova earlier last month where the pupils were honoured by their school.
At the national championships,Tauhirah Ajam received a gold medal for club throw and for shot put while Kendra Britnell also received a gold medal for club throw and a silver medal for shot put.
Corbin Elie narrowly missed out on a medal for shot put when he finished in fourth position.
WPSAPD awarded Vista Nova Primary the trophy for School of Year for their performances at the national championships.
