Mowbray Maternity Health Facility Board (MMHFB) is selling Cape Town Funny Festival tickets to raise funds to enhance facilities at Mowbray Maternity hospital.

MMHFB helps raise funds for Mowbray Maternity that takes care of mothers who are giving birth to newborn babies. MMHFB Vice Chair, Tracey Aitken, said there is an ongoing need to provide breastfeeding mothers with babies admitted to the nursery with transport money so that we can support continuous breastfeeding while the baby is admitted to the hospital. "Other priorities include supplementing the equipment and creating caring spaces for staff and patients," she says.

So far, the MMHFB has sold 160 of the 300 tickets allocated to them for the Cape Town Funny Festival show at the Baxter Theatre on Saturday June 14 from 4pm. Performing at the Funny Festival will be comedian Dalin Oliver who is the MC and there are other local acts like Kagiso Mokgadi, Emo and Loukmaan Adams and friends, and Robby Collins. Tickets cost R230 per person and can be purchased by calling Fagwa Davids at 021 659 5583 or by emailing Fagwa.Davids@westerncape.gov.za
