Pinelands North pupils perform in an original upcoming play titled Astronauts vs Aliens, which will feature in the school hall in the first week of August.
Astronauts vs Aliens, directed by school teacher Tamsin Carelse, is a cosmic comedy which follows a group of astronauts and a visiting alien family as they attempt a cultural exchange, only to face a surprise robot uprising. As chaos unfolds, the unlikely crew must learn to work together, proving that even across galaxies, teamwork, understanding and humour can bring people and planets together.
Astronauts vs Aliens will feature Pinelands North pupils Qiniso Freeth, Maddelyn Chiles, Zach Manuel, Olivia Evert, and Neema Guma as the Earth-based astronauts, with Callum Stanbridge, Jahaan Booley, Olivia Chilcott, Quaid Holton, and Molly Manuel as the visiting alien family.
The rogue robots will be portrayed by pupils, Zara Cruywagen, Faith Lile, Nina Clark and Ben Draper.
Ms Carelse said that this production has been a true celebration of creativity, collaboration, and community. “Astronauts vs Aliens is not just a fun space adventure, it’s a reminder that even in the wildest corners of the galaxy, connection and kindness always win,” she said.
