Dozens of Peakview Pre-primary pupils and girls from the Ons Plek Shelter were given a safety briefing by City officials at Mowbray Library on Wednesday, October 15. The City’s Traffic Services spoke to the children about road and vehicle safety, while the Disaster Risk Management team informed them on who to call and what safety measures to take in the event of a flood or fire at home. The librarians also read stories for the children. The day ended with firefighters talking about their roles, and a tour of the fire engine truck.
