Two men that were shot in the vicinity of Bromwell Street, Woodstock are currently receiving medical attention.

Police are investigating the murder and attempted murder of two men in a shooting incident that took place in Bromwell Street, Woodstock, on Friday, November 7.
According to provincial police spokesperson, Captain FC Van Wyk, the shooting took place at about 10pm where two men, aged 26 and 60, were shot and wounded.
“Police members attended to the crime scene where they found the victims with gunshot wounds to their bodies,” he said.
Captain Van Wyk said both victims were taken to a medical facility for treatment. Captain Van Wyk confirmed that the 60-year-old man died as a result of the shooting.
“The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation, and arrests are yet to be made,” he said.
In recent months, Woodstock and Salt River have been plagued by shooting incidents.
In July, a 33-year-old man was shot dead in the early hours of the morning in Salt River on Friday, July 4, and then, before that, on Wednesday, July 2, there was an attempted murder, when a 39-year-old man was shot at his home in Shelley Street, Salt River. Then on Sunday, June 29, a 37-year-old man was killed, also in Bromwell Street, in the early hours, around 1.20am (“Woodstock police probe murder of 37-year-old man, Southern Suburbs Tatler, June 30).
Then, earlier in June, Woodstock police investigated the attempted murder of a 16-year-old man who was shot multiple times on the corner of Cecil Road and Dryden Street, Salt River. (“Salt River on edge: Police probe second gang shooting incident,” Southern Suburbs Tatler, June 16)
