Hundreds of Pinelands residents attended a community and safety day at the Old Mutual Sports Field on Saturday, December 6.

The day was organised by Pinelands Neighbourhood Watch, where they were joined by various safety partners, including Pinelands police, Pinelands Community Improvement District (CID), the Western Cape Mounted Unit and private security who interacted with the public.

There were safety dog demonstrations done by the police’s K9 unit as well as private security. The Western Cape Mounted Unit also did a demonstration with its police horses.
