Holy Cross Primary in District Six received a surprise visit when a cereal company provided breakfast to around 455 pupils on Thursday, January 22.
Holy Cross Primary school principal, Nomthandazo Zweni, said this feeding initiative was aimed at supporting the school’s Grade R pupils who do not participate in the school feeding scheme, and the rest of the school.
“This visit highlights the importance of partnerships between schools and corporate organisations in addressing food security and promoting learner wellbeing, particularly in the early years of education,” she said.
