The Rosmead Central Primary School Grade R class received 30 stationery folders on Wednesday, February 4.
These stationery folders, which consisted of a book, a rubber, a pen, a pencil, a ruler, and crayons, as well as a blue folder, were made possible by the donation of Ward 58 councillor Richard Hill.
Rosmead Central Primary School principal, Ian Kriel, thanked Mr Hill for this initiative.
“This is a basic education initiative in the formative years of our Grade R pupils,” he said. Mr Kriel said these pupils will be allowed to take this stationery home with them, as the other stationery that is brought by the parents remains in the classroom.
Mr Hill said he is pleased to be distributing stationery to the school.
“We are here to hand out stationery to Grade Rs who are in the foundation stage of their educational journey,” he said.
