The Rahmaniyeh Primary School in District Six celebrated its 113th birthday on Thursday, February 5. Pupils were encouraged to dress up as some of the old people from the community. Principal Shireen Jaffer said the pupils shared a prayer and enjoyed a meal as part of their celebration. “We say Happy Birthday to Rahmaniyeh. You have withstood all the trials and tribulations of the previous regime, and may your legacy live on,” she said.
