Robin Pieters will headline at the concert, Artists for a Cause.
Various Cape Town artists will perform in a fund-raiser for The Charity Book, which promotes the work of Western Cape charities.
Robin Pieters will headline at the live concert, Artists for a Cause, at Kenilworth Racecourse’s Peninsula Room, on Sunday November 28, from 3pm until 7.30pm.
The venue a capacity of 300 but only 120 people will be admitted for compliance with Covid regulations.
The Voice finalist Mo George, pianist Celeste Williams, guitarist Sebastian Peters and R&B singer Zinzi Carolissen will also put in appearances along with several other artists.
Fiona Jackson, a director of the Gleemoor-based non-profit company, says its database of charities in the province helps those organisations promote their work and raise funds, but The Charity Book’s own fund-raising efforts, she adds, have taken a knock from the pandemic.
“We were due to begin our fund-raising efforts in 2020 with a year-long diarised set of fund-raisers and then the lockdown started and we had to cancel everything.”
Pieters says he appreciates the opportunity to perform. “I believe we can make a difference one person at a time by giving back, and if sharing the stage and celebrating my craft with others helps to create this momentum, then I am making a difference.”
