Judy Field, Rondebosch
Hooray, the Rondebosch fountain is finally back in place.
I suppose a few of us have been wondering about the different colour, stained glass window and CFC light.
I managed to contact someone at “Heritage” and found out that the colour at present is the correct one.
The colour for the light would have been Victorian blue glass like some medicine bottles, but it is not available hence the stained glass.
And the CFC will save money and when the electricity is switched on it will be a wonderful invention.
I’m very glad to see it back in its place.
I really hope some drunkard does not do a repeat and do Rondebosch and its inhabitants an injustice.
