Brooklyn event’s organiser, mum and wife by day, Nuhaa Bardien hosted the launch of her debut novel on Saturday April 20 at Central Library, Cape Town.
Keeping to the theme of her book, Till this Night, family, friends and fans received masks on arrival and later tucked into salmon, cheese cake, chocolate brownies, half-moons and non-alcoholic cocktails, all mentioned in the book, as they collected their copies.
Bardien has not revealed too many details about the story but those who have read the book say it is basically a point of view of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, but told with a modern twist. It also includes much humour, family rivalry, betrothal and betrayal, poetry and descriptions of what married couples do when they are alone.
