Rondebosch businessman Stuart Symington, 60, has written a self-help book.
The Ladder of Life: Balancing the climb is Mr Symington’s first book and it focuses on personal growth.
“It’s about dealing with the major decisions that one has to take in life and finding a balance between the most important elements of one’s life, namely your health, wealth, family, friends and spirituality,” he says.
Mr Symington ran his own packaging manufacturing company in the 1990s and he has served as the CEO of various enterprises connected to the agricultural sector.
He wrote the book, he says, because he wanted to share the life lessons he’s learned over the years. “I think it’s a great pity that we have to live life forwards but only understand it looking backwards. I wish that I had known the contents of this book when I was in my 20s, hence my need to share it with others.
“I was once told that smart people learn from their own mistakes, but truly wise people learn from other’s mistakes.”
The book is available at Exclusive Books, Publisher.co.za or Amazon.
