It’s all set, the play-off draw has some mouthwatering clashes waiting to light up this year’s Champions League.
GoalMouth’s team might not be in it, but still, it’s all set to be a massive showdown.
But there’ something very suspicious about these draws and I am sure you all are questioning the Manchester City and Real Madrid fixture, again, for like the sixth season in a row.
This fixture has become famous, always featuring during the knockout rounds, with some surprise group stage draws over the years.
It’s a fixture that delivers all the show stoppers and drama, with some of the world’s best on show and more important, probably two of the best managers in world football going head-to-head.
Soon Ruben Amorim will join this elite bunch as I am sure you all are noticing the upward trajectory my team is currently enjoying.
With a few in between on and off fixtures, we have shown that we are a club that is under construction — with a man leading the project, wanting to make a change.
The Champions League draw seems empty without a big name such as Manchester United — but we are believing again. We believe that soon, we will be taking our team back in the Champions League mix.
You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one.
People might say we are dreamers, but GoalMouth refers to them as believers.
Manchester United has proven to be the only team in Europe, across all three formats of the competition, to remain unbeaten — a competition we should focus on and make the basis to rebuild this amazing club.
Liverpool might be enjoying a good run of form, top of the Premier League, top of the Champions League, but mark my words — they are being knocked out.
PSV Eindhoven brought the Merseysiders back to ground with a 3 – 2 victory in the Netherlands — now suddenly cracks are appearing.
But that is none of my business and GoalMouth has learnt to stay in his lane and focus on his own problems.
I am hoping United will give Ruben a small budget to work with before the window shuts — with some exciting youngsters destined for big things waiting to enter this club.
One thing is for sure, Ruben Amorim is the proper man for the job, already having shown his ability to grab the reigns, make changes and force people to adopt the policy — or simply leave.
Still no news on Marcus Rashford, who we all are hoping to see the back of, but it remains a mystery why this transfer has taken so long.
Champions League play-off draw up next and let’s look at some of the fixtures set to blow up your screens.

– Sporting Lisbon vs Borrusia Dortmund
– Manchester City vs Real Madrid
– Celtic vs Bayern Munich
– Juventus vs PSV
