The Pinelands Community Police Forum (CPF) appointed a new executive committee at a well-attended Special General Meeting (SGM) held Huis der Nederlanden last Tuesday, April 15.
Nominations for the executive committee were received from member organisations within the Pinelands precinct CPF, with the election process overseen by a CPF district-level voting compliance officer to ensure integrity and transparency.
Dr Marietta Hopley was elected as the new Pinelands CPF chairperson. She takes over from the long-serving outgoing chairperson, Aslam Clarke.
In her acceptance speech, Dr Hopley says the spirit of the community lies at the heart of the Pinelands CPF’s mission. Dr Hopley encouraged all residents to break down barriers and silos, and to unite in support of safety and security for the greater good of the Pinelands precinct.
“With a new term, new faces, and new ideas, we look forward to working together to create a safer, stronger, and more connected Pinelands precinct,” says Dr Hopley.
