Rustenburg Girls’ Junior School will host their original play called Beautiful Beasts, which will take place tomorrow and Thursday, June 26.

Beautiful Beasts is written and directed by the school’s drama teacher, Carey Hickson-Mahoney, and will feature the school’s foundation phase pupils.

Beautiful Beasts tells the tale of animals from the Savanna that come together for the most glamorous event of the season, the Beautiful Beasts Pageant! With dazzling stripes, spots, long legs, and majestic manes, the “beautiful” animals strut their stuff while the “Uglies” are left in the shadows.

Ms Hickson-Mahoney said this heartwarming tale follows the “ugly” animals like the warthogs, hyenas, a vulture, rats, storks, and a wildebeest as they take a stand using teamwork, creativity, and courage to clean up their shared home and prove that beauty isn’t just skin deep! Beautiful Beasts can be seen tomorrow, Wednesday, June 25, and Thursday, June 26, at 10 am and 6.30 pm at their school, located at 12 Main Road, Rondebosch.

Tickets cost R100 per person and can be purchased by calling the school at 021 689 1981.
