The Children of Light preschool marks its 8th birthday with a joyful celebration

The Children of Light (Colt) preschool celebrated its 8th birthday on Thursday, October 2. The non-profit school in Rondebosch East had more than 40 guests at the party, which included staff, volunteers, the early childhood development (ECD) pupils, as well as past pupils. Spiritual leader Swami Vidyananada from the Ananda Kutir Ashram of Rondebosch East also gave the preschool a blessing and performed a fire ceremony. Colt principal, Mala Makan, said they were delighted to be celebrating their 8th birthday. “I pray that we will grow from strength to strength to bring out the light within every child,” she said.
