Defending champions St George's remains in the hunt to successfully defend the Western Province Score Sevens title.
The Lullu Boys, as St George’s are affectionately known, ended third in Group D after losing 5-12 to Kylemore to reach the Top-16 of the popular event, which ends on Saturday at Brookside home of the Villager Rugby Club in Claremont.
St George’s, who are coached by Lester Riffel, now face Group C leaders, Atlantis, in their opening Top-16 match. Atlantis ended top after six games with 30 points.
False Bay also remain in the hunt for the honours after topping the Group E charts with 24 points and face Uni-Mil in their opening Top-16 encounter while Hamilton faces the speed of Macassar.
