On Sunday, coach Anele Mcetywa's Mavericks won 7-4 against Silvertree Titans in the CTBF's Knockout final. A day before, Silvertree Titans were crowned the champions of Grand Challenge (Gold) after beating Tornados 9-7. At the end of the weekend, softball won.

“Thank you Mavericks supporters, parents, players and managers. Without you we are nothing. I have nothing to say much about this season, I only gave away one win to Tornados then I came back strong to win each and every game till the end,” said Mcetywa.

“There were some challenges that could take me off but I use sportsmanship to continue with my team and it helps us to get here. I have strong young players and they are willing to learn. It is very important to use the young ones instead of seniors. I would like to thank each and everyone of my girls,” said Mcetywa.

Mavericks men's side also won the Grand Challenge against Silvertree Titans last week.
