The first day of the Kasi Invitational Games' Floating Trophy knockout tournament took place at the Gugulethu Sports Complex on Sunday, March 23.
With the final round set for Sunday March 30, four teams have secured their spots in the semi-finals: Gugulethu Hustlers, Gladiators Basketball Club, Cape Waves and Unity Basketball Club.
Hustlers defeated Hout Bay Hurricanes 60-43, while Mitchell's Plain’s Gladiators edged past Mbekweni Shaq Squad 62-59.
Nyanga’s Cape Waves cruised to a 71-50 victory over Langa Kings, and Unity Basketball closed the day with a 66-62 win against Cape Town Sharks.
Nyanga's Cape Waves got the better of Langa Kings with a score of 71-50. They will play the Kasi Invitational Games semi-finals at the Gugulethu sports complex on Sunday March 30.
