A group of Cape Town-based hip-hop dancers, collectively known as the Funky Culture Crew and ranging in age between 35 and 65 years, were part of the SA team that took part at the recent International Dance Organisation (IDO) world championships, in Poland. The crew of mothers have been dancing together for the last two years and are part of the Lakeside-based Out of Africa Dance Academy. The world championship featured more than 3 000 entrants, representing 40 countries, with South Africa finishing fifth in the senior section.
