New kit unveiled for Busy Bee juniors
Busy Bee Rugby Football Club unveiled their new under-12 and under-13 kits sponsored by the French Consulate in Cape Town and Le Cap Sportif, at Langa Stadium, last Thursday.
Chairman of Le Cap Sportif, JB Wiroth, said their aim is to make the French community meet the South African community through sport and life skills.
“Our second goal is to raise funds and promote sport in communities like Langa,” said Wiroth.
French ambassador to South Africa, Aurélien Lechevallier, said they will continue to promote the exchanges between France and Cape Town ahead of the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France.
“Sport is very important. For the kids it is a way to focus on healthy activities, for the minds, the spirit and the body. We as a community and as partners, we have to provide opportunities and that is what we are doing today,” said Lechevallier.
Director of rugby at Busy Bee, Msutu Kewana, said the new kit will look neat on the junior players as they compete for grand honours in their respective leagues.
Kewana thanked the French Consulate in Cape Town, Le Cap Sportif, the local newspapers, the community and Siyabulela Primary School, who has been a feeder to the club over the years.
“We are looking forward to seeing Busy Bee in the future as we are preparing for our centenary in 2023, where will be celebrating our 100 years – we look forward to growing these partnerships,” said Kewana.
